Signage system for Lojas do Parque, the small shopping arcade where our own studio is based. We designed every piece and produced it in-house.

The main sign is a free-form birch plywood board with the name written in warm white neon, cursive and underlined, hung on standoff fixings so it floats off the wall. Below it, each shop has a smaller board in the same organic shape, with its logo, floor and unit number engraved into the wood.

Every board was drawn in vector, cut on the CNC and then laser engraved. The engraving depth was tested so that logos of very different weights, from thin serifs to heavy sans, all read clearly on the grain. A lacquer finish protects the wood and warms the colour.

The same language extends to freestanding boards for individual shops, listing their services in a single engraved panel. One material, one shape, one process, so new tenants can be added at any time without breaking the set.
