primogenitus is the studio’s first object, born in 2022. A porcelain vessel built from triangular facets, thought through down to the last detail.

The name means “first child”, and that is what it is: the piece that opened the product design side of the studio. The form is a faceted cylinder, a low-poly surface where each triangle catches the light differently, so the object changes as you move around it. The base is a plain turned ring that lets the geometry stand on its own.

The shape was modelled in 3D and turned into a mould, then cast in porcelain and fired unglazed, keeping the white surface and the crisp edges of the facets. Each piece is part of a numbered edition and carries its serial number.

The packaging follows the same logic. A folded card with tabs holds the piece and works as its certificate: a line drawing of the vessel, the edition and serial number, the material, and a short dictionary-style definition of the name in English and Portuguese.
